Inspirational Helen Keller Quotes

5 Inspirational Helen Keller Quotes

Helen Keller is my hero. She lived an interesting adventurous life as aan author and activist. She was blind, deaf and mute. . She lived an incredible life. She was the first blind and deaf person to receive a Bachelor of Arts degree.

At those moments when I am on the self pity bus I try and remember Helen Keller and her courage and it makes me feel better about my life. The following five happiness quotes highlight her guide to happiness and a well lived life.

"Security is mostly a superstition. It does not exist in nature, nor do the children of men as a whole experience it. Avoiding danger is no safer in the long run than outright exposure. Life is either a daring adventure, or nothing. To keep our faces toward change and behave like free spirits in the presence of fate is strength undefeatable."

What Helen is saying is that there is nothing secure about life. People like to feel secure; however life is random and unexpected. It doesn't matter how much we try to make ourselves safe life is a game of chance.

People spend their lives holding themselves back not taking chances to protect themselves and keep the delusion of being safe. People believe by experiencing more and being open minded to trying new things they open themselves to possible pain. Yet when it comes down to it the person who is highly adventurous and lives to the fullest and the person always afraid of trying anything are just as unsafe in this unpredictable world. Knowing this isn't it much better to go all out and experience and live life to the fullest? Ultimately living a full adventurous life is not any more unsafe than doing nothing of note.

"Instead of comparing our lot with that of those who are more fortunate than we are, we should compare it with the lot of the great majority of our fellow men. It then appears that we are among the privileged."

We are all comparers we cannot help ourselves. Daily we compare on looks, wealth, relationships, happiness to name a few. People always feel inferior to some other people and they believe they have the bad end of the stick. Helen suggests looking at the majority of the world and comparing yourself then and the biggest likelihood is that you are one of the privileged people in this world.

If you are able to read this article right now then you have access to the computer, something that a lot of people in this world only dream about. Everyday remember to be thankful for what you have because so many other people have so little to be thankful for.

"Everything has its wonders, even darkness and silence, and I learn, whatever state I may be in, therein to be content."

Helen was deaf blind she had to deal with darkness and silence all the time. I would not have any idea what she went through I can only try and imagine how it was. She found a way to be content with her condition. Every person goes through different things in their lives and some are tougher than others. Find happiness in every situation you are in. You can't control everything in this world but you can choose how you react to different situations.

"I seldom think about my limitations, and they never make me sad. Perhaps there is just a touch of yearning at times; but it is vague, like a breeze among flowers."

This quote is one of the reasons I am truly inspired and awed by this woman. She was deaf blind and mute and yet she rarely thought of her limitations. She had every reason to play the victim but she didn't. How many times do you play the victim feeling sorry for yourself over the smallest thing? I know I do that every single day at some point. I dwell on my weaknesses and things I don't have constantly giving into self pity. How productive is this? Not productive at all. Instead of focusing on their strengths people use up their time which is precious focusing on what they lack.

"Many persons have a wrong idea of what constitutes true happiness. It is not attained through self-gratification but through fidelity to a worthy purpose."

I am a big believer in making yourself happy. I find fulfillment in helping others not just myself. Just living for myself is not good enough I want to feel like I am making some positive impact in this world before I check out. That is the meaning of Helen's words above. There is nothing wrong with making sure you are happy but also live for others and you find more happiness.

The above five quotations represent Helen Keller's quide to a content and fulfilled life. Helen's words offer a way of living life to the fullest from a woman who did just that. I hope you take them to heart in your daily lives.

Free Inspirational Quotations

Free Inspirational Quotations - What's Your Favorite Inspirational Quote?

Copyright (c) 2010 Steve M Nash

Life is amazing, isn't it? Whatever stage you're at - teenager or retiree, in work or out of work, single or married, parent or grand-parent - life is sure to throw you the odd curve-ball or two, to test you out a little.

And when life turns sour (or sweet!) then it's always great to be able to turn to a favorite inspirational quotation. Don't you think?

Well I do, anyway, and that's one of the reasons I've accumulated these favorite quotes, below - for a rainy day, so to speak, or to find that extra bit of self-belief that will help me 'get the job done'.

So, in no particular order, here are my favorite inspirational quotes, with reasons why. And I hope they inspire you as much as they inspire me...

"Keep away from people who try to belittle your ambitions. Small people always do that, but the really great make you feel that you, too, can become great." -- Mark Twain

Ah, Mr Twain how wise you are! It is good, even great, to be among people who actively encourage you, and recognise your talents, for sure. So much better than to be around people who simply do not believe!

Sure, it's fine to be challenged every now and then - so do not surround yourself by yes-people - but it is very hard to grow and nurture your true talents if you are being constantly belittled and ridiculed.

Listen to Mark, I say - he knows a thing or two!

Now onto love...

"Don't cry because it's over, smile because it happened." -- Dr Seuss!

Hmm, there speaks a man who has known both the joy and the pain of love. Whilst I believe in the truth of this inspirational quotation 100%, I also fully understand how difficult it can be to smile when you want to cry.

Still, that doesn't mean we shouldn't try, does it?

And you must always remember that famous ice-hockey player with his even more famous inspirational sports quotation...

"100% of the shots you don't take don't go in." -- Wayne Gretzky

Yep, if you didn't 'go for it' in the first place, then you wouldn't be feeling sorry for yourself now. Life is for living, and you quite simply have to commit to one adventure or another or you'll end up living a life where you just don't take any 'shots'.

And that don't sound like a fun life. Do it?

"Life is not about waiting for the storm to pass. It's about learning to dance in the rain." -- Vivienne Greene.

Hmm, if ever a quotation was to sum up the benefits of having a positive attitude, it is this one. Yes, bad things happen - they happen to us all - but we can wallow and wail or we can learn to dance in the rain.

Not easy, I agree. But that's why Vivienne's words are so inspirational - they encourage the best out of us.

"Act as if what you do makes a difference. It does." -- William James

Short and sweet from William. This is a favorite as I believe it contains an important message to all 6 billion plus of us out there: we make a difference!

:-)

And once we believe William, it's not that much of a stretch for us to listen to the Buddha's words, and for it to inspire a little deserved self-love...

"You yourself, as much as anybody in the entire universe, deserve your love and affection." -- Buddha

Indeed you do.

But then life is not just about you. There are other people to consider too. That's why Leo's inspiring words get included here...

"Don't spend your precious time asking 'Why isn't the world a better place?' It will only be time wasted. The question to ask is 'How can I make it better?' To that there is an answer." -- Leo F. Buscaglia

Imagine if we all lived our lives according to Leo's words. Can you? Wow, the world would be a little more love-filled than it is today, don't you think?

And the words of Mary Kay Ash would be quite transformational too, if practiced by everyone in the world, I'm sure...

"Pretend that every single person you meet has a sign around his or her neck that says. 'Make me feel important.' Not only will you succeed in sales, you will succeed in life." -- Mary Kay Ash

Mary, can I just say how bloomin' marvellous these words of yours are! :-)

I guess it all boils down to these little beauts, at the end of the day, though, the following powerful quotations:

"Be the change you want to see in the world" -- Mahatma Gandhi

and

"Whether you think you can or whether you think you can't, you're right." -- Henry Ford

Hmm, can you really argue with Gandhi or Ford? Even on a bad day - can you?

Still, after all is said and done, I think there is something to be said for the more modest words of Elbert Hubbard. Elbert simply said...

"Don't take life too seriously, you'll never get out of it alive." -- Elbert Hubbard

And I think he had a point.

Okay, these are my favorite inspirational quotations - are they yours? - but I've still to reveal my #1 favorite inspirational quote.

And I'm more than happy to tell you what is, I am, but I can't. It's because of something Walt Disney said, see. And he said...

"Always leave them wanting more"

And who am I to argue with the legendary Walt?

Hope you enjoyed these favorite inspirational quotes.

Popular Business Quotes for Motivation and inspiration

Popular Business Quotes for Motivation, Inspiration and More

Walking by a coworker's desk, you may discover they have a quote or two well in sight. Whether it is their screen saver, in an attractive plaque or simply taped to an index card, this business quote can be a great help during the day. No matter what industry or field you work in, business quotes are useful to motivate, inspire and to remind you of what you think is most important.

Let's look at two popular business quotes:

"If you think you can do a thing or think you can't do a thing, you're right." - Henry Ford

"Do or no do. There is no try." - Yoda (The Empire Strikes Back)

As you can see, each of these quotes talks about having confidence in yourself. But the style and tone of the quotes is different. One of the quotes is from Henry Ford, a well known inventor. The other quote is from Yoda, a character in The Empire Strikes Back movie. Either of these quotes could be an ideal one to choose. But the professional in a creative industry might choose the Yoda quote to prefer that connection with the entertainment industry. There are many reasons to choose your favorite quote and only you can choose which one is "best" for you.

Some choose business quotes that show what they value most in a work ethic. Or they choose a business quote that shows their ultimate goal. Or they choose a funny business quote that helps them get through the every day with a smile on their face. Each business quote is perfect for each person because it strikes a chord in them. There is no "perfect" single business quote; in fact there are probably thousands if not hundreds of thousands. The very best business quote to choose is the one where you find yourself nodding your head, or it gets you excited about your goals or it makes you laugh out loud about your work day.

There are many ways to display your business quote. Always keep in mind the corporate culture you reside in. Some business environments frown on having excess clutter on one's desk. Other companies don't mind if you have a few personal knick knacks, or may even seem to encourage it! Choose to display your quote so it fits in with your company's corporate culture. A discrete way to display your quote is to have it as your screen saver. The only reason not to choose this is if your company prefers everyone to have the company logo or other image as their screen saver. Another way to keep it easily at hand is to keep it in your Rolodex right in the front so you can turn to it when you need a little extra inspiration. This is an ideal choice because you can easily see it when you'd like to, and it won't be in public view - preferable for corporate climates where personal items are not welcomed.

Some Great Business Quotes

"A man who wants to lead the orchestra must turn his back on the crowd." - Max Lucado

"Be a yardstick of quality. Some people aren't used to an environment where excellence is expected." - Steve Jobs

"Be careful the environment you choose for it will shape you; be careful the friends you choose for you will become like them." - W. Clement Stone

"Don't be afraid to give up the good to go for the great." - John D. Rockerfeller

"Don't find fault, find a remedy." - Henry Ford

"Effective leadership is putting first things first. Effective management is discipline, carrying it out." - Stephen Covey

"Act as if what you do makes a difference. It does." - William James

"Do you want to know who you are? Don't ask. Act! Action will delineate and define you." - Thomas Jefferson

"Either you run the day or the day runs you." - Jim Rohn

As you can see, there are many great business quotes from top and well respected business leaders and captains of industry. Pick one or pick several to find inspiration from. When you select your business quote and begin to put it into use, you may be surprised to discover just how many - just like you - have their favorite business quote they turn to. Share your favorite business quote with others and they'll share theirs with you!

Motivational Quotes That Will Put Your Motivation on Overdrive

50 Motivational Quotes That Will Put Your Motivation on Overdrive

Let’s face it – no matter how excited you are about a new project or
priority in your life, there will always be days when your motivation
lags. Days when – despite all the progress you’ve made in the past – it
just sounds easier to sit on the couch playing video games than to
buckle down and crank out the work needed to meet your goals.

In order to be successful, you must be able to motivate yourself
past these humps. So whenever you feel your drive and determination
lagging, turn to motivational quotes from famous authors to provide the
extra spark of passion needed to keep you on track.

The following are some of my favorites, divided up into a few
different categories. I hope you find them useful when it comes to
sustaining your own motivation through difficult projects!

Motivational Quotes for Work

Great businesses aren’t born overnight. Instead, they require
consistent, committed effort to succeed – which means that you’ve got to
find a way to maintain your passion over the long-run. Whenever you
encounter doubts creeping into your mind, read through the following
motivational quotes for work and reference the categories that are
appropriate to your unique needs:

Goal Setting

Whether you’re still in the planning phases of your business or
whether you’re plotting a plan of attack to bring about your long-range
vision, setting good goals
is a critical part of succeeding in business. Check out the following
quotes for extra inspiration on how to turn your business dreams into
reality:

“The tragedy in life doesn’t lie in not reaching your goal. The tragedy lies in having no goal to reach.”–Benjamin Mays

“By recording your dreams and goals on paper, you set in motion the
process of becoming the person you most want to be. Put your future in
good hands — your own.”–Mark Victor Hansen

“Give yourself an even greater challenge than the one you are trying
to master and you will develop the powers necessary to overcome the
original difficulty.”–William J. Bennett - The Book of Virtues

“The entrepreneur is essentially a visualizer and actualizer… He can visualize something, and when he visualizes it he sees exactly how to make it happen.”–Robert L. Schwartz

Excellence in Work

Once you’ve got your goals together, you’ll need to put in 110% of
your effort in order to transform these visions into reality. To
increase your motivation to work at a consistently high level, take a
look at the following words of wisdom:

“Excellence is an art won by training and habituation. We
do not act rightly because we have virtue or excellence, but we rather
have those because we have acted rightly. We are what we repeatedly do.
Excellence, then, is not an act but a habit.”–Aristotle

“If you are going to achieve excellence in big things, you develop
the habit in little matters. Excellence is not an exception, it is a
prevailing attitude.”–Charles R. Swindoll

“Desire is the key to motivation, but it’s determination and
commitment to an unrelenting pursuit of your goal — a commitment to
excellence — that will enable you to attain the success you seek.”–Mario Andretti

“The secret of joy in work is contained in one word – excellence. To know how to do something well is to enjoy it.”–Pearl Buck

“The quality of a person’s life is in direct proportion to their commitment to excellence, regardless of their chosen field of endeavor.”–Vince Lombardi

Determination and Persistence

Since every business or other endeavor
is bound to hit some rough patches, it’s often a person’s level of
determination and patience that brings about either success or failure.
Read through any of the following motivational quotes for work related
to determination whenever you need an extra boost of encouragement:

“Enter every activity without giving mental recognition
to the possibility of defeat. Concentrate on your strengths, instead of
your weaknesses… on your powers, instead of your problems.”–Paul J. Meyer

“Knowing trees, I understand the meaning of patience. Knowing grass, I can appreciate persistence.”--Hal Borland

“Nothing in the world can take the place of Persistence. Talent will
not; nothing is more common than unsuccessful men with talent. Genius
will not; unrewarded genius is almost a proverb. Education will not; the
world is full of educated derelicts. Persistence and determination
alone are omnipotent. The slogan ‘Press On’ has solved and always will
solve the problems of the human race.”–Calvin Coolidge

“An invincible determination can accomplish almost anything and in
this lies the great distinction between great men and little men.”–Thomas Fuller

Leadership

Leadership is an important quality for businesspeople to possess, whether you use it to run your own company
or simply to motivate others to follow your unique way of thinking. To
boost your skills in this area, take your cues from the following
renowned leaders and their most famous sayings:

“The most dangerous leadership myth is that leaders are
born — that there is a genetic factor to leadership. This myth asserts
that people simply either have certain charismatic qualities or not.
That’s nonsense; in fact, the opposite is true. Leaders are made rather
than born.” –Warren G. Bennis

“All of the great leaders have had one characteristic in common: it
was the willingness to confront unequivocally the major anxiety of their
people in their time. This, and not much else, is the essence of
leadership.”–John Kenneth Galbraith

“Leadership is not magnetic personality — that can just as well be a
glib tongue. It is not ‘making friends and influencing people’ — that is
flattery. Leadership is lifting a person’s vision to high sights, the
raising of a person’s performance to a higher standard, the building of a
personality beyond its normal limitations.”–Peter F. Drucker

“The task of leadership is not to put greatness into people, but to elicit it, for the greatness is there already.”–John Buchan

“High sentiments always win in the end. The leaders who offer blood,
toil, tears and sweat always get more out of their followers than those
who offer safety and a good time. When it comes to the pinch, human
beings are heroic.”--George Orwell

Success

Think of success as a holistic process – one which results from the
combination of goal-setting, excellence, patience, determination and
leadership you prioritize throughout your business career. The following
quotes from famously successful business people reflect this reality,
providing an excellent source of motivation for whenever you feel your

but reasonable confidence in your own powers you cannot be successful or
happy.”–Norman Vincent Peale

“Success consists of going from failure to failure without loss of enthusiasm.”–Winston Churchill

“Successful and unsuccessful people do not vary greatly in their
abilities. They vary in their desires to reach their potential.”–John Maxwell

“Would you like me to give you a formula for success? It’s quite
simple, really. Double your rate of failure. You are thinking of failure
as the enemy of success. But it isn’t at all. You can be discouraged by
failure or you can learn from it, So go ahead and make mistakes. Make
all you can. Because remember that’s where you will find success.”-- Thomas J. Watson

“The great successful men of the world have used their imagination.
They think ahead and create their mental picture in all its details,
filling in here, adding a little there, altering this a bit and that a
bit, but steadily building – steadily building.”–Robert Collier

“It is a paradoxical but profoundly true and important principle of
life that the most likely way to reach a goal is to be aiming not at
that goal itself but at some more ambitious goal beyond it.”–Arnold Toynbee

Motivational Sports Quotes for Athletes

inspiration from the following quotes. Even if you’re just a
recreational player or someone who’s using sports as a means to get back
in shape after long periods of inactivity, the following motivational
sports quotes for athletes should provide the extra encouragement needed
for you to stick to your fitness goals:

that you think is a weakness, then I will turn that perceived weakness
into a strength.”–Michael Jordan

year, but eventually it will subside and something else will take its
place. If I quit, however, it lasts forever.”–Lance Armstrong

“Strength does not come from winning. Your struggles develop your
strengths. When you go through hardships and decide not to surrender,
that is strength.”–Arnold Schwarzenegger

does.”--Florence Griffith Joyner

you miss a workout; every time you don’t give 100% – You make it that
much easier for me to beat you.”--Unknown

Get up and light-heartedly, courageously, good temperedly get ready for
the next encounter. This is the only way to take life – this is also
‘playing’ the game!”–Emily Post

“We must train from the inside out. Using our strengths to attack and
nullify any weaknesses. It’s not about denying a weakness may exist but
about denying its right to persist.”--Vince McConnell

“Your time is limited, don’t waste it living someone else’s life.
Don’t be trapped by dogma, which is living the result of other people’s

voice. And most important, have the courage to follow your heart and
intuition, they somehow already know what you truly want to become.
Everything else is secondary.”–Steve Jobs

“Nobody can go back and start a new beginning, but anyone can start today and make a new ending.”–Maria Robinson

“What lies behind us and what lies before us are tiny matters compared to what lies within us.”–Ralph Waldo Emerson

To use these motivational quotes effectively, find the one that
speaks to you. Although all of the phrases listed above can be
considered “motivational,” only you can decide which one resonates with
you most directly.

Next, take the quote you’ve settled on and copy it onto small index
cards or other pieces of paper that can be stored around your home and
workspace. If you’re creative, you can create inspiration boards, signs
or other decorative displays featuring your favorite motivational quotes
– really, though, the most important thing is that your chosen phrase
be accessible in a variety of different places. This will make it easy
to access and review whenever you feel your motivation slipping away.

Do you have a favorite motivational quote?  If so, how do you
reference it throughout your day in order to stay motivated?  Share your

How Comics Can Motivate You

How Comics Can Motivate You

The Sunday paper has one section that is really popular: the comics.
When we are looking for a good laugh this is the place. Laughing is good
for you. Comics are helpful in others ways as well. They can help us to
get motivated when we are trying to run a business.

When you
are working in your office have you ever noticed that a lot of the
coworkers have funnies on their walls? They can break the monotony of
the work day. Yes, they make us laugh but they also encourage us when we
read them.

Most comics have the theme of a small business or
work room. Most all comics also have something of the office sort as
well. They are some of the most famous comics as well.

For
example, the comic Dilbert, is in a professional office theme and he
makes funny jokes about what the management is doing. When working for
someone else and feeling frustrated these funnies help us to blow off
the steam.

When we are working for ourselves these comic help us
to communicate with our staff and to work effectively. This also helps
us to remember why we made our policies and to remember to ensure they
are followed.

Blondie is a comic were the people have their own
businesses. The most popular person in the comic is Blondie. That's
where the comic gets its name.

Blondie used to be a house wife
and now she has a catering business with a friend. They have many
adventures and misadventures that give us encouragement to get our work
done better than they did.

This strip may help small business
owners and aspiring entrepreneurs. They have open situations that most
all working people can relate to. Blondie has a husband named Dagwood.
He is in construction.

When they talk about Dagwood and his
boss, the experiences are really funny. They give us an idea of what we
don't want to see in a workplace so we can prevent it.

Another
strip is Hagar the Horrible and even this comic strip can provide some
encouragement. Hagar the Horrible is about a Viking Warrior that is
trying to invade England repeatedly.

He is so determined to
invade them it is really funny seeing the things that he will do to get
there. He also has a crew that puts more chaos to the strip and makes it
even more hilarious when you are reading it.

Placing the Comics where you can see them

After
you have found a comic that you enjoy and find motivational. Post them
on your monitor or the wall in your office. When you feel like you need a
laugh when things are getting rough or if you just need a little
motivation, you will have it infront of you.

When you are
posting the comics you can give some to the other members of the staff
to make sure that they have a little encouragement as well.

When
you are running your business it is vital to have a sense of humor.
When we are stressing, the comics can help us to think of the funny side
of things instead of being frustrated and worrying about everything.

They
also help us to be motivated when we are not motivated. They serve as a
quick mood change when we are not feeling up to anything or when we are
stressed.

How to Motivate Different Types of Salespeople

How to Motivate Different Types of Salespeople

Every person in a sales team is different and therefore has
individual requirements. The different way they work and overcome
challenges can be very different. Research has identified a number of
the most popular personality types found in sales teams. You can enhance
your motivational skills by allocating them depending on their
personality type. Management courses therefore cover motivation as a
core subject area. By successfully classifying each member of the team,
it is much easier to match the right person to the right set of
customers. Maximize sales and classify!

The Practician

Likes sensibly standardized procedures and practical details.
Products and services that he puts together and sells will certainly be
useful to the purchaser.

Give him the means to organize his work optimally. Tell him exactly
what his sales figures, contribution to business and targets are. Do not
mess up his workflow.

The Introverted Sales person

He works assiduously, without causing any sensation and without
needing constant communication with new people. Instead, he acquires
product knowledge down to the last detail.

Try to avoid letting him get involved in problems. Instead provide
the tasks that he can use his personal strengths: excellent knowledge,
autonomy, and the ability to focus on a task. Whilst he requires praise,
this can be done in private. This person likes to know the detailed
background to projects that he takes on and respects this information
being delivered to him by his boss.

The Extrovert Salespeople

He has a lot of varied interests. His communication with those around
him is very lively and energetic. However this person gets bored with
long and detailed projects and like to be involved in numerous tasks and
activities all at once. He is not known for good detailed knowledge.

Avoid him with projects that are going to take a long time to
complete. Alternatively provide shorter and medium term activities where
he will be dealing with clients face to face are far better for these
people.

Express your appreciation or positive customer feedback to him in front of his colleagues sometimes as this is important to him.

Intuitive Salesperson

He is similar to the Extrovert. He likes change and the grand
gesture, not detail. He has a thirst for action, but cannot accept
standardized activities in sales. Make use of his creativity when
developing new sales strategies. Assign him to intellectually demanding
projects. Allow him to experiment and to see across the demarcation
lines.

Emotional Salesperson

He values a good working atmosphere and harmony in the team. He wants
to be useful to other people and has a pronounced sense of justice.
This person is ideally suited to a position in customer service or after
sales support. He is very good at managing customers that demand high
levels of personal contact and service.

Show him your esteem and support his work. When holding sales
competitions, give preference to team oriented models which do not
strain the atmosphere in his group.

The Rationalist The Thinker His decisions are based on pure facts, not on moods or feelings.

Like the Practician, he needs honest feedback about his level of
performance. He would like recognition to be according to objective,
intelligible criteria. Goals and objectives set for this type can be
challenging but must be attainable. This is an area that managers are
particularly interested in when attending management courses.

The Bureaucratic type of Salesperson

He gathers all the relevant facts together and pronounces his
judgment - black or white. Inflexibility is a virtue to him, he calls it
loyalty to one's principles.

He likes a manageable, well-ordered working environment. Keep
uncertainty, changes and unresolved problems away from him. He is
renowned for his 100% appropriate, flawless offers when requirements are
specified precisely.

Spontaneous type of Salesperson

He is spontaneous, flexible and has a healthy, realistic outlook. If
necessary, he will willingly also concern himself with details. Official
routine is a dead end for him.

Break up his routine with special tasks or extra duty assignments.
Remain accessible to him and distance him from official routine. Do not
impose any self-organization methods on him, they would just slow him
down.

Average Salespeople

He is not conspicuous and only displays ambition to a limited extent.
The status quo is the working norm for him. He earns rewards
principally because of his length of service with the company.

Make the working environment enjoyable and encourage a competitive spirit with the sales team.

The average salesperson is the ideal candidate for sales territories with constant targets, which seldom encounter any problems.

People respond much better in an environment that suits their working
style. Therefore by identifying the personality type, and meeting their
working requirements, you can maximize business performance through
high levels of sales team motivation. Motivation skills can also be
further developed by receiving training on management courses.

How To Stay Motivated On Your Wealth Journey

How To Stay Motivated On Your Wealth Journey

What is motivation?

There is no universal definition of what motivation is, yet all of us
intrinsically know what it is. If you speak to people on the street and
ask them what they think motivation is, you’ll likely get responses
like “it’s what drives you” or “it’s what pushes you” or “it’s what
gives us the strength to get things done” or “it’s your fire inside.”
All these are perfect definitions; however, my favorite definition is “a
desire to achieve a goal, combined with the energy to work towards that
goal.”

Motivation is key:

Without motivation, your chances of achieving success are slim.
Without motivation, you won’t be able to conquer the many challenges
that will confront you on your wealth creation journey. Motivation will
give you the energy and drive to climb the mountain of financial
freedom. It will pick you up when you get knocked down. It will lift you
over the many barriers that you will encounter along the way.
Motivation will give you that “never give up” attitude.

Two of Arnold Schwarzenegger’s most famous quotes are “I’ll be back”
and “Hasta la vista, baby.” It’s easy to forget the man behind the movie
persona. He won the Mr. Universe title four times; he’s the only person
to win Mr. Olympia seven times; he’s one of Hollywood’s biggest stars;
he’s a very successful property investor; and in 2003, he became the
Governor of California. What makes a person excel like this? Well, in
his own words, “…the last three or four reps is what makes the muscle
grow. This area of pain divides the champion from someone else who is
not a champion. That's what most people lack, having the guts to go on
and just say they'll go through the pain no matter what happens.”

If you’re lacking motivation, how do you get it? If you lose your
motivation along the way, how do you get it back? Well, the good news is
that motivation is a two-way street. Although you can lose motivation;
you can also get it back.

Becoming and staying motivated:

We are all unique. What highly motivates one person won’t necessarily
have the same impact on another person. The steps listed below will
help you become and stay motivated:

Step 1: Have a vision, mission and plan with clear goals - Your
vision is your endpoint. It’s your key reason for taking this journey.
Knowing where your target is will help you be inspired and stay on the
journey. Your mission statement is short-term, clear and focused. It’s
your “mission!” It’s big enough to inspire and challenge you but small
enough to be achievable in the short term. Your vision and mission form
the grand design of your plan.

Your plan will show you the way and give you a timeline. It gives you
direction. Your plan contains and prioritizes your goals so you don’t
get overwhelmed. Your plan and goals give you step-by-step, day-by-day
focus with clear timeframes and deadlines.

Step 2: Small regular successes - small manageable daily goals, at
least at the beginning, will ensure success and confidence. The higher
your confidence, the higher your excitement and motivation for more
success. Just like small trickling streams quickly turn into a gushing
river, many small, quick successes quickly total up to a large success.

Step 3: Find motivation sources - each of us gets revved up and
inspired by different things. For some of us, it’s an action movie or a
certain song; for others, it’s going for a walk or to the gym. Find what
gets you going, and make it a part of your daily routine.

Step 4: Keep learning - Educate yourself as much as you can about
everything to do with you wealth goals. Knowledge gives you two
essential things: confidence and a higher success rate. Both these feed
your energy.

Step 5: Mix with like-minded people - People tend to be drawn to
like-minded people with similar interests and passions. Your road to
wealth will be a lot easier if you mix with like-minded, wealthy people
who will guide, encourage and inspire you.

Step 6: Reward your success - Success is not all about work. The
bigger the goal you meet, the better you should feel about it. One way
to ensure you associate success with pleasure is to treat yourself when
you achieve a goal. Enjoy a night off from work, take your family out
for a nice meal or spend a weekend away—whatever works for you. Don’t
ever play down your successes. You don’t need to brag about them to
others, but do tell yourself how good you are.

Step 7: Patience - You must be realistic about your vision, mission
and plan. Success won’t happen overnight, but they will in time, with
knowledge, planning, action and determination. Be patient. Challenge
yourself, but don’t kill yourself. You won’t stay motivated if you’re
exhausted.

Step 9: Repeat, repeat, repeat - Repetition of good habits will
engrain success into your subconscious and your personality. Have you
ever noticed that winners tend to excel at whatever they do? That’s
because winning is a part of who they are. They weren’t born winners.
They learned to become winners. You can, too. Start by changing the way
you do and think about things, and then continually repeat these winning
thoughts and processes until it becomes a part of who you are.

There are plenty more ways to become and stay motivated. Take the
time to understand what things work for you and apply them. Constantly
look for new and interesting ways to motivate yourself as old methods
can become boring over time.

The buck starts and stops with you

No one cares about your life more than you. No one has as much to
gain or lose from your life choices. Only you can really motivate
yourself. No one can give you that never-say-die tenacity to succeed,
which can only happen if you take full responsibility for your life.
Take responsibility for your past, where you are now and what you’ll be.
Don’t blame other people or circumstances. The buck starts and stops
with you!

Motivation and The Law of Attraction

Motivation and The Law of Attraction

A lot of time in life, we may feel that we are too lackluster. We do
not want to do much and we do not enjoy what we are doing. We feel bored
of our work, our family and everything around us. We do not see the
meaning in living and are not sure where we are heading to. This is when
we need to be motivated. This article reveals how to be motivated by
the law of attraction.

Longman Dictionary of Contemporary English gives the definition of "being motivated" as following:

"Very keen to do something or achieve something, especially because you
find it interesting or exciting: They are a really good bunch of
students -highly motivated and very intelligent."

Are you
motivated? May be not or may be not at the level you want. You may want
more motivation so that you can achieve more. How are we going to be
more motivated? Here are the techniques to be employed including:

1. Find your passion
What
you do like to do? Notice that there must be some activities that you
specially like and want to do them a lot. That's where your passion is.
See if you can apply those passions in your daily activities. Ask
yourself how you are going to be as passionate as you are when you
perform those activities. Find out how to be passionate on what you do
will be the major tool to get you motivated.

You may need to
brainstorm yourself by listing all activities that you have to do and
see what can be improved on how you feel toward them. You may need to
change some of the activities if you can. If you can not, change the
environment to the one that you like. Or you can change the meaning that
you give to them. Most of the activities can be fun if you know how to
handle it. To be motivated is very much on your thinking and your
feeling. Once you can master it, you can do anything with a lot of joy.

2. Set up your ultimate goals. What do you want in life?
Life
without goals is not a fulfilled and fun life. And if you do not have
fun you will not be motivated. Find out what you want is crucial to make
you feel more enthusiastic and energetic toward your life. Set up your
goals in each of the major area in your life. Then see how you can
achieve those goals. Set up what you would do in order to reach your
goals. The process alone will give you more meaning in life. And you
will start to see the value of living.

3. Always focus on the joy you will have when achieving your goals.
To
add juice into life, you need to know what to focus on. What will make
you excited when you think about it? Just think of what you will feel if
you can not miss any of your goals. How much happy and fun are you
going to have? Focus only what you want, not what you don't want, will
help you motivate yourself and make your life more meaningful.

4. Visualization
To
visualize is to communicate with your subconscious mind. It will make
your subconscious mind attract circumstances and attributes favorable to
achieving your goals according to the law of attraction. Visualize as
if you have achieved what you want in front of you. See it and feel it.
Regular visualization will add the feeling of joy and certainty into
your life. Once you are certain that you will get what you want, you
will be more motivated. You may add background audio to each
visualization to make it more powerful. Attraction Accelerator can be
one of your choices.

We may need some motivation in life some time. This article talks about how to be motivated by using the law of attraction.

Motivated People are Successful People

Motivated People are Successful People

Having motivation and success are two things that go together. You
have to have one to have the other. The key to having good success is
how much motivation you put behind it. You need to have your own ideas
and goals and then find a way to follow through with them. You need to
get a plan and then put it into action to make it work. There are
different factors in determining how much success you have in life and
what you do to get motivated.

Getting a reason to follow
through with your motivation and your goals is important. You need to
think about what you want and need in life. Having an inside goal is
something that you can have for your own personal well being. Think
about the things that you want in life and how you intend on getting
them to happen for you. You need to have self-improvement and goals for
yourself to make your life mean something. Putting your motivation
skills to work in this area will be a huge benefit to you.

You
can also use the outside influences that are around you to help get you
motivated. You can use your friends and family as motivation to keep
you going and to help you get to where you want to be in life. You can
learn a lot from what others have been through and their stories can get
you to keep your motivation going and to help you find positive things
to help you throughout life.

You have to have goals set for
yourself in life. You need to have this so that you can have a purpose
in life. When you have a clear picture of what you want from life you
will have a better idea of how to get there. Without goals, you will
have nothing to motivate you to get what you want from life. You should
set long-term goals as well as short-term goals to help you get where
you need to be for happiness in life.

Figure out why you want
to have these certain goals in your life. Think about why your goals
are important and what you want to achieve with them. You may have to
keep on reminding yourself that you are in need of having this goal for
yourself. As long as you are determined to make things happen for you,
there is hope. This is a form of motivation and with some work and some
determination, you can make your goals come true and this will help you
succeed in life.

Using all three of the above will give you
the motivation to move on and to get where you want and need to be in
life. You will feel good about what you have achieved and learn to use
these skills for the other obstacles and goals that you have set aside
for you in life. You will feel good each time you make one of your
goals become a reality because you have used your motivation methods for
success in the right way.

Give yourself discipline. You have
to make yourself work hard for things that you really want in life.
There is nothing in life that is really worth anything if you do not
work for it. Getting a free ride will not teach you anything about
motivation and where you need to be with your own personal goals and
happiness in life. Follow through with the motivation methods that you
have learned and you will get to where you want to be and feel good
about what you have achieved along the way.

How to Increasing Your Motivation Results

How to Increasing Your Motivation Results

Motivation is something that we all have to have. We all need to find
the right levels of motivation in our life so that we can do the things
that we want and have fun doing them. There is nothing wrong with
wanting to have more motivation in your life. You can increase your
motivation and live a happier and healthier lifestyle. You will not
have to worry about how hard this will be because there are a few things
that you can do to make it go a lot faster for you.

You need to
ask yourself some important questions when you are looking for
self-motivation. You need to think about what you should be doing and
what you are doing. How are you going to feel if you do not get
something accomplished in life? And what you want to keep on doing in
your life to stay happy? These are all things that you should ask
yourself first and then this will determine if you need to increase your
motivation about a certain thing or not.

You have to start
making active choices in your life. You need to have a power of mind
that will allow you to do the things that you want to and not let
anything stand in your way. If you say that you are going to do
something, you need to make sure that you follow through. This is the
only way that you can get things done in your life that will make you
happy in the end. When you feel as if you have something accomplished,
you will feel a lot better because you did what you wanted to.

Set
goals for yourself to increase your motivation. You will want to think
about the things that you want to do and then how you can get them done.
Make sure that you are setting realistic goals for yourself. Do not
make them something that is impossible to do. You want to set long term
and short term goals so that you can have sometime to accomplish as you
go. These goals can help you get on the right track so that you stay
there with your motivation.

Get good role models to follow
after. You will find that when you look up to someone that is doing well
in his or her self-motivation, this will help you achieve yours. You
will find it easier to do the things that you want because you are
willing to make them happen. You will have nothing to lose and you will
have the inspiration of the role models to follow you. You will feel
better and know that you can do it because you have the strength and the
power behind you to get it done.

Know what you want and do not
want in life. There are things that will change as you grow in life.
You will not have the same goals and you will want to change the way
that you look at certain things. There is nothing wrong with this. The
best thing that you can do is staying positive and knows what you want
and how to get it. Focus on one thing at a time and then go on from
there. When you get one thing accomplished, this will help you to keep
your motivation and keep moving on down the line.

Be thankful
for the things that you have in life. You want to make sure that you do
not take things for granted and appreciate the things that you have
around you. You want to make sure that you are keeping a positive
outlook on things that you already have and the goals that motivate you
to keep on going in life. You have so much to be grateful for now and
think of what you can do if you keep on going with your motivation. You
can have a great life filled with unlimited opportunities if you keep
your motivation on the right path.

How To Motivate Successful Salespeople

How To Motivate Successful Salespeople

The key motivators of successful salespeople are often asked about by
managers attending management training courses. If these can better
understand, they will be more effective at managing these successful
people.

Personal success clearly comes before team performance

Top salespeople are rare. What really distinguishes them from others?
Over a period of 22 years the Gallup Management Consulting Group have
carried out studies which reveale the following key abilities and
talents:

Attribute 1: Concluding sales negotiations

The ability to conclude sales negotiations successfully is
principally the result of an amazing amount of persistence. Top
salespeople do not allow themselves to be discouraged by failure. They
accept that double the amount of sales negotiations means double the
amount of failure.

They put up with the inevitable number of unsuccessful visits,
because they have absolute faith in themselves and the product and
services that they are selling.

Attribute 2: Self motivation

The reasons for top salespeople wanting to get to the top are as
different as the people themselves: money; recognition; getting to know
people; the desire to prove themselves; etc. The one thing they have in
common, however, is that there is a fire burning in them. It is not the
sales manager who has lit this fire, but it is he who controls the
amount of air that fans the fire and makes sure that it is not
extinguished.

This inner motivation is stronger than any motivation package a sales
manager can introduce and makes it possible for top salespeople to
achieve excellent performances.

Attribute 3: Self discipline

Clients are demanding and there is tough competition. Against this
background, sustainable, long-term success is only conceivable if
salespeople work in the most organised way possible.

Reliability, meeting deadlines and diligence are the cornerstones of a
top salesperson's working style. They have tailor-made many of the aids
they have to help them accomplish this: forms, lists, deadline
overviews, presentation portfolios.

Attribute 4: Empathy

Offensive salespeople and power sellers are indisputably successful
in certain markets. In general, however, salespeople need to build up
and nurture a relationship with the client. This always entails looking
at the situation from the client's point of view and a good
understanding of the client's problems. A salesperson will only have the
patience to do this if they accept the client and emphasise the things
that both of them have in common.

If you have a top salesperson like this in your sales team, then it
is your job to make sure that they keep their "inner" motivation as
taught on all good management training courses. What is the driving
force that motivates them? Four "motivational factors" and the effect
these have on a sales team are mentioned in the Gallup Study:

Competition

Salespeople who are motivated by competition do not only want to win,
they want to be better than their competitors. The result is they make
no distinction between a sales person from a rival company and a
co-worker. They are fair, however, and their performance will also
inspire their sales team.

Ego drive

The ego of these top salespeople is the focal point of everything.
They want to be the best and get the glory personally. Team performance
means nothing to them. You can however motivate these salespeople by
making them mentors for young salespeople. They are exhilarated when
younger salespeople admire their expertise.

Love of success

This is the motivation that is most desirable to drum into team
thinking, but unfortunately team thoughts rarely enter the head of top
salespeople. Any salesperson who loves success feels motivated by the
task at hand alone. If they achieve a goal, their sights are
automatically set a notch higher. Colleagues' success does not bother
them, since the main thing is that the task has been accomplished.
Always ensure there are enough challenges to stretch your salespeople.

Service strength

The strength of salespeople who have this inner motivation is the
ability to create and build on client relationships. They are constantly
on the look-out for the optimum uses for their clients. These are the
ones who express with as much understanding as possible what it is the
customer actually needs and then goes out of their way to accomplish
this. In the sales team, this type of salesperson is often the work
horse who does the less well-liked tasks, because these are the ones
which are complicated and drawn out. You need to recognise the fact that
your top salespeople fulfil this role.

These are the key motivators and attributes of successful sales
people. Managers who hope to further develop their skills of motivating
and identifying successful salespeople can attend pertinent management
training courses.

Goals Plus Motivation Equals Trading Success

Goals Plus Motivation Equals Trading Success

The link between our reality today and our goals for tomorrow is
motivation. Motivating ourselves to do what needs to be done and to
stick to a realistic timeframe for completion of these goals is the main
ingredient in a successful venture. Often we have wants, desires, and
dreams but lack the motivation to get down to the nitty gritty in order
to turn our desires into tomorrow's reality. There are no shortcuts,
just determined effort and basic hard work.

Setting goals can
increase our level of motivation. Goals can help us create our own
personal milestones that help us grab the daily bread, so to speak, and
get our hands dirty with effort. When we set a goal, or a series of
goals, we should be mindful to make them realistically doable, keep them
on task and targeted, and use their completion as a yardstick in which
to measure our progress and success.

Setting goals that are
unreachable can be highly counter productive. After all, if we can't
enjoy the process of checking something off of our list or closing the
page on a chapter we've completed, we just run ourselves into the ground
with repeated effort and no enjoyment. Eventually, the inability to
reach even one milestone creates dissention, and the average individual
gives up and moves on.

Perhaps you are on the other side of the
tracks and you like to set goals that are so reachable that your day is
done in ten minutes. It feels good to check off our daily tasks and wind
up with free time. Of course, we can make our goals so attainable that
we are no longer moving forward with any real momentum. Often, we know
this and are feeling the void of a true accomplishment when we set goals
that are too easily reached.

Striking a balance between the two,
finding which time frames motivate you the best might take a little
trial and error. If you need ten little goals in order to reach the
first big goal just so you can check them off your list, so be it. Just
be aware that the first ten are micro goals and that your day is not
complete until you reach the end game.

Using goals to motivate
your successful trading days is done in the same manner that you reach
other goals in life. First and foremost, write them down. If you have
to, write them down every morning and check things off as you accomplish
the tasks that reach the goals. Creating realistic and reachable daily
goals is the ladder you build toward your monthly goal. When trading,
you want to make sure you aren't trying to live out a fantasy, such as
turning chump change into the "big win."

It is a proven fact
that adults, teens, and children alike learn new skills better when the
pressure applied to the task is moderated. For you, learning to trade
and learning skills that will turn you into the top notch day trader you
are looking to become, moderate pressure doesn't mean trying to live up
to the expectations of big wins and dream trades. Small trades learned
over time will allow you to evaluate your progress without the threat of
financial ruin. No one can perform well all the time under that sort of
pressure.

Keep a realistic view of day trading, and don't expect
to be rolling in big trades with huge profits in just a few months, no
matter what any introductory course may try to sell you on. Long term
seasoned and well planned trades lead to financial success. Short term
boost trades lead to a little extra spending cash on occasion, but not
an overall freedom of financial wealth. By maintaining your education
goals, your trading goals, and your ability to trade in moderation while
you learn the ropes, you can eventually succeed into the land of
financial freedom. Of course, this takes time, practice, and an honest
assessment of your trading skill set.
